We accept the love we think we deserve, don't we?
I don't know what I did
To deserve the love that presses in on me
From all sides.

It must have been grand
An act that booms like a miracle
Or maybe not

Maybe it was small

Believing
In goodness, softness, vulnerable-ness
Despite the times they crack
My entire soul open
To spill out on the dirty floor.

I can see the material of me
Last week's laundry
A stitch-work of memories and mistakes
All of my flaws.

It takes bravery, to face that.
To believe in yourself despite your dysfunctions.
Maybe I deserve this love because I'm
So Brave.
