Writer's Cramp
The cat in the window
waits for the mailman
except for Sunday
when the day seems too long...
not seeing his blue-clad friend
stopping
at the window
saying, "Kitty, kitty, kitty"
and his meow-mouthed greeting
eyes meeting, they stare
for a moment trading places
yet still one
a mailman and a cat
except for Sunday.
