A sad farewell to summer. The peaches were good to me this year.
My teeth pierce warm, fuzzy skin,
revealing a glistening mass of sweet flesh;
beckoning my mouth to savor sun-ripened
juices.

Tempting nectar dances over my lips, down my chin,
and on my tongue,
swallowed,
becoming a part of me.
