“Of course you did. I see blood everywhere. You killed him.”

“No I didn’t. He was already dead. I found him that way. Someone else did the deed and left him for dead.”

"Oh really? And the blood, all over you? Your clothes, your shoes, your hair? I know you did it.”

“I was the one who moved him inside so I could butcher him.”

“You disobeyed so many rules. I’m calling the authorities.”

"Wait! I have the permit. It’s here somewhere. And the tag.”

“Hunting season ended yesterday.”

“One minute ago. You’re gonna call the rangers about one minute? You’re kidding. Come on. We need to cut up this deer.”

“I still think you’re disobeying the rules.”

“Oh come on. I’ll share the meat. It’s been a tough year. We both have families. You can use the help. What do you say?”
