Teenagers and their phones
The other day I was watching the tele. Quite an interesting movie at the time. So like good girls my daughter and her friend (this was a visit only they would understand), came and sat on the sofa next to each other and started texting on their phones. (Funny enough, they wanted to watch the movie with me). With phones attached to their hands, these girls were "watching" a movie. Made about as much sense as me trying to do the Riverdance.

The noise of those phones clinging and plinging destroyed all of my concentration. I was looking at the tele and no longer enjoying it. What a waste of a good movie.

Through the whole movie, they sat bend over their phones and every half hour or so they would burst out giggling at the same time.

A hair raising moment.

With the first giggles I started having that (I watched this movie before and it never ended well for anyone in the Town) moment.

Ever had that feeling you were stuck in the Twilight zone or a body snatcher moment. That was how I felt from the first fit of giggles.

As those giggles errupted out of nowhere (And this happened a lot in that time frame), I would shift in my chair and just glance sideways to make certain, they were not developing Children of the Damned eyes or worse, growing new body pods from their phones.

It was creepy as hell.

Yes, I do watch way too many Horror movies but do you really blame me for feeling uneasy when they suddenly go into fits of giggles at the same time.

I am honest, they scare me. Teenagers, scare me to death and that is saying much because I used to work at a Crematorium.

What is it with these sporradic outbursts of giggle at the same time? Or is it just my imagination running haywire?

Now that I have shared my story, I feel just a little bit better.
