What is life and death?
Life is a journey, a story which we all weave
The choices we make deciding the fate we ultimately achieve
Good or bad
Happy or sad
Calm or mad
All paths eventually lead to death's eve
For death claims all with no reprieve
The notions of passing on to a heaven or hell are what many conceive
Unsure if it's a lie meant to deceive
Or are we all just naturally naive

No one knows what happens when we leave
Besides the pain our passing brings to those that grieve
The ones with whom are stories interweave
With painful feelings they may never truly relieve
For when our years are gone, they are one of the few things we cannot retrieve
Nor can we make up with the ones we decided to aggrieve
Our journey ends with the last breath our bodies decide to heave
Living itself brings so many blessings that we can all receive
All one must do to receive them, is cherish life and BELIEVE!
