What would happen when a girl finds out about a kingdom of talking guinea pigs?
The Guinea Pig Kingdom
'I can't believe this,' I thought as I went into my sister's mansion, 'I have the whole place to myself for 9 whole months.' My sister was out of town, and she said I could stay here for as long as I like-- "But," she warned "do not go through the indigo closet door, for no one's ever been there." Of course, I was curious about what was behind that door, but not that curious to open it. So, when I suddenly (T) found it open, I became jittery. Simultaneously (T), a guinea pig came out of the door. It was wounded, but alive "Please..." It said with a raspy voice, "Please help me."
Without another thought, I picked the guinea pig up and ran with it to my room. When I got to my room, I made a bed for it to rest up and heal, gave it medicine, and treated its wounds. After five days, it was already up and running around the room. Eventually, it spoke, "Thank you...Girl."
"You know I never knew Guinea pigs could speak." I told him.
"Guinea pigs from the Guinea Pig Kingdom all speak." he said.
"So why did you need help?" I ask him.
"We are under attack by a notorious gang of human hunters with guns, our King Togo requests for your help. He says you can communicate with the hunters' leader, as he is someone you know."
I look down in thought--"someone I know." Who could that be? In the meantime (T), I followed him through the door to the kingdom, where there were more guinea pigs than I could count! Before my eyes were merchants, carpenters, villagers, and more. We walked and walked until we finally (T) reached a big castle with big blue door. As we walked in, two orange guinea pigs were standing by their gray king. "Greetings, your highness" I greet, bowing my head, "Hello," he said, "How can I be of any help to you and the marvelous kingdom of yours?" I requested. "We need you to go into the hunters' base and find out the leader and our Protector.
"So," I asked, "when do I start training?", he signaled to one of the guards to me and took me to a hall where I will learn to fight in battle. After some time my training ended. King Togo said approvingly, "You are now ready to find the Protector." At last, they dressed me up as a hunter to infiltrate and spy on the base. After some time (T), I reached the base, where they welcomed me in as one of their own. They told me everything I needed to know, including where they kept The Protector. After (T) all I had heard, I felt bad for him, so I said, "Where do you keep him?" For a minute, one of them gazed at me suspiciously, but said not a word. Eventually (T), they took me to a tent where a black winged male was chained down. Then they started teasing and harassing him. So when they were all asleep, I crept into the leader's room, he was still awake, but he was looking at something on his arm. "Come in, I know you're here." he said, without looking out the door.
I sigh, go in, and sit down, "Do you want to ask me about the mark on my arm, don't you?" he asked, "Yes," I confessed, "Well, I guess there's no reason to hide my secret from you." He told me how he was cast with a curse, but he said he could not remember what happen after that. I now had a way to destroy the curse that had the hunters, tracking down the Guinea pig. So, when I came back to king Togo, I told what they had said, and he agreed to let me go and save the Protector. When it was time for battle, all the warriors went for the fake leader and attacked while I went into their base again to find the dungeon were the Protector was. When I released him and, I found out he is my brother and together we went into battle. We all fought till no end, until curse that had the leader hunting for special type of lettuce that they could only grow, came out of the hunter's mouth, as a huge black cloud. It swarmed and swiveled "You think you can destroy me? Think Again." it snarled and the attacked my brother! "Jocu! No!" I yelled. Tears stung my face as my brother fell to the ground as I ran to him "Foolish human girl, you should've stayed in you room, playing it safe but now look at you, I guess it's time for you meet the same fate." it said and shot a dark cloud at me but then I raised my hand and it disappeared. Then I look at myself, I am a winged protector myself. "But how is this possible? How can you have no fear?' the curse yelled trying again to hit me. "I have nothing to fear, because I have nothing to lose, like my brother." I said, and with that drew out my sword, and stabbed it in the heart. The whole kingdom cheered for us, and the hunters thanked us for freeing their leader from the curse and destroying it. When it was time for us to leave, King Togo told us to be careful from now on, we heeded his advice, bid farewell to the kingdom, and went through the door and spent the rest of the time getting to know each other better.
