Collected

Objects of desire
Sought after, lusted and prized
In time gather dust
Replaced, relegated
Just another part of a collection

To be loved
Is to always be included
Sought and consulted
Shared of warmth and of feeling
A part of being

Sometimes in life
We are objet d'art to the ineffectual selves
Smarmed and charmed, blinded
Choose carefully what you see and hear
Don't become collected!
