Floyd is worried about not working.

“Hey, Pete!”

”What?”

”I’m kinda’ scared.”

”Why, Floyd? we’re sitting in the shade this glorious summer day on this beautiful patio enjoying watching the people, this wonderful coffee, and a piece of what I think is the best pecan pie I’ve ever eaten, what could possibly frighten you?”

”We haven’t done a job in a long time. This is a bad idea, we need to keep working. What’s the matter?”

”Nothing’s the matter, Floyd, we’re here looking at a job, remember?”

”Oh, yeah, okay but, I’ve never been here before and I don’t know nuthin’ ‘bout the area. How’m I supposed to know where to drive?”

”Not to worry, Floyd, we’ll go over all the details and even get in a couple run-throughs. You’ll know the area shortly, just like always. Remember? Right now let’s just enjoy this Elysian Field for a bit longer.”

”Ohh, yeah…what field? We’re downtown. And, what’s allseen, or whatever?”

”It’s Elysian, Floyd, it was heaven for the ancient Greeks. It means everything is just right.”

”So what’s the job?”

”A jewelry store, the owner deals in stolen gems and we’re going to relieve him of some of his inventory. Some cash too, hopefully.”

”I’m hungry, can we stop at a burger place? I really need some fries too, and a couple shakes.”

”You just ate an hour ago, Floyd.”

”Yeah, but I’m hungry again. My momma always said I burn a lot of energy.”

”You must, you eat enough for an army, but you don’t gain weight.”

“Hey, Pete! Look at that, wouldya’, a burger place that sells fried chicken. My favorite. Can we stop? Please! I really need to eat..”

“Which is your favorite?”

“Both.”

“You astound me, Floyd.”

“Carla says that too. You remember Carla? My sister?”

“I married her, Floyd, remember?”

“Ohh, yeah.”
