The first time.
If this is what missing you tastes like,
I’ll miss you forever just to see you again.
There’s an entire galaxy built within your eyes
I could spend a lifetime attempting
to explore your depths.

Somehow, you’re the sun in the sky
casting out darkness wherever it stands.
While, I am the moon in the night,
providing guidance, in the midst
of your absence.

Alive in the same galaxy, separately, we thrive.
Yet, we feel so complete upon each other’s presence.
& so, we wait patiently for the moments in life
where we share the same space,
even if only for a second.
