Poetry on grief, parent loss, addiction
I look for you in the forest
The green trees somehow hold you
I'm unsure how long you have been there but I know it is you

You come to me in dreams
The crystal thoughts fall on top of each other
         I cannot erase you

Sometimes I hear you
Like a child playing outside I can quickly cover you up
Or worse like a waterfall that drowns out the voices of anyone else

I want so badly to understand
To know what it feels like
         To be happy

But how do I understand you without going down the rabbit hole myself
