I had two ideas for the Writer's Cramp, 7/13. This was the second. Pi poetic form.
The coffee they
drank
was cultivated by my
ancestors,
their java-colored skin condemning
them to the plantation fields for profit and for
morning ritual.
Men like creamer took espresso women,
made mocha and latte children,
and their jealous
vanilla wives scorned them all,
spitting them out like old brew gone bitter,
cold. Black hands picked coffee beans united in fate;
they were but for the pleasure of
their masters: for service, for consumption. Their story percolates
with every cup.

Pi is used as poetry form. The Pi is built up in words and follows the mathematical number that stands for Pi:
PI = 3.141592653589793
