In Time Forever More

In the sanctuary of solitude serene
Where my troubled thoughts kneel
Bowing to present my heart in sacrifice
Keeps me quiet for just an hour

You are gentle with me Spirit
Quiet my urges to go mad
Seventy year's hugging You
Sweet Spirit, a few wrinkles in time

The stairs to the Secret Place
In the shadow of Your wings
Have been built on years of longing
Though just a speck in forever more

I open my hands before You
And look - they're filled with peace
My soul too is mended, rested, refined
Made sacred in my worship here with You.
