A man stumbles upon his lost child
Terek left camp to find Gnobb. He did not know where he fit in this world but he had to find a way to get to his family and the only way he knew was to ask for help. He knocked on the front door and waited. When the door finally opened a young girl stood there. He could not believe his eyes.
“Karah,” he said with surprise, “What are you doing here?”
Karah flew into her father’s arms and cried. Her sobs drew the attention of the cook who was clearing the table in the dining hall.
“Child, what is all the commotion about? You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” Julibia said as she came through a doorway into the corridor. Kara let go of her father and stepped back as she began to speak.
“My father has knocked on the door,” She began as she cried. “He has been gone for almost four years. I never thought I would see him again.”
She sobbed as Julibia invited Terek inside.
“How did you know she was here,” Julibia asked as she shut the door.
“I did not know she was here,” Terek began. “I saw my wife and other children on the edge of town. I came to seek counsel with Gnobb to find a way to be with them again. I had no idea that I would find Karah here.”
“What is going on out here?” Gnobb asked.
“Karah’s father showed up on the doorstep,” Julibia said.
“Terek, Isn’t it,” Gnobb said, “how did you find Karah here?”
“I came to see you sir,” Terek said. “I saw my wife and other children in town. I wanted to talk to you about finding them.”
“Come and sit, let's talk about your great luck,” Gnobb said
