The change of season is a chance and inspiration to let go of the things that haunt you
End of this autumn
I'll turn a new leaf
Allow the grief that's consumed me these past weeks
To dry out and fall from the broken branches of trees
End of this autumn
I'll walk on these rustling leaves
Pick one up and remember it used to be green
Save it; as a souvenir for its not just a color that was lost
I'll prepare for the white frost
