yearning for dead parent
Autumnal Backlash


The trees pick up their leaves again
And paint them uniformly green -
The winds drop to their lowest level
And do not increase in strength.

Pears and apples shrink to blossoms -
Nature is budding once again.
Spring has come back leaping summer -
No winter break in between.

Daddy is back with me again -
Off did he slough his rotten shroud.
Once more I am his little sweetheart -
Fondled by his loving hand.
