Loss of one becomes a Gain for others
What once was cherished

appreciated for what they had

taken for granted

allowed to decay

originals move up and out

Seconds move in, move out

Then thirds, fourths, fifths takeover

crumbling foundations

crooked doorways

stained and disheveled

Bold it for tomorrow's judge!

The atmosphere of a tiny village is gone

large buildings appear

environmental friendly fences

love it or hate it.

What once was cherished

Now gone, demolished

density is today's game

with a new look

for some to enjoy

But what of those old

who were left behind

kicked out of their homes

for future's bright lights

but not for them.
