A poem of whatever is on my mind while I write. - Maalik
Thirsting............searching for knowledge.

But the ones who know never wanna give it to me.

Members only in their tight niche.

I'm not even part of the memory.

Life hit me like a truck.

Women, friends, betrayal, successes, all of it too much.

Emotions not in check, I need to find a new formula.

Mistakes were too harsh on my embarrassment pulse.

Feeling the sting of laughter & seeing I'm the butt of everyone's jokes.

Damn, what I gotta do to become the best at it all?

To get this false idea I had of true friends, the women I want, clothes, & peace without the fall?

Consistency.

Embracing them failures as they go on.

I stumbled, bruises & bumps from the fuck ups.

Looking at people laughing, in their eyes was a glint of projection.

All their own insecurities bleeding through with every name call & side eye.

Too scared to take a chance at being themselves so they can become more than just what society indoctrinated them into believing who they are.

Once I broke free of that fear of embarrassment, the world smiled down & knew that I was ready for it.

Broke free of the bondage of my own making, climbing out of the hole that I dug myself in.

Learned about them boundaries that others placed on me, but when it came to mine, it was never respected.

Cause I didn't set my own.

The self love I've grown to understand & harness is like a shield of true righteousness that allows me to stand true in the face of my adversaries.

Feeling like Courage, The Cowardly Dog when he hears Muriel screaming.

& if we're talking ranking, fuck whatever place you feel you're in superior to me, cause I'm beyond it.

I'm the Champion's Chariot.

I'm the Realest Man Breathin'.

I'm the Lone Stone Playboy.

I'm.......................
