free verse expressing depths of despair with the brighter side after the storm of emotions
Dry bones and a parched heart
Eyes weep tears of dust particles
Limp limbs linger too long
Where is my stormy reprieve
Soak me in rain's torrents
Cease this pain on a thunderous crescendo

Is lightening in limbo
Where is it when I need it
Electric ribbons in darkness
to design and direct my path
Anticipate the thrust of thunder
Pursue breaking silence of loneliness
What is storm without energy
to change the sadness
Then follow up with a soft shower's melody

Shiny orbs plenty,
my familiar evening muses
Count the stars, they say
Too many, I claim
I'm broken, don't you see

I pray instead of roiling clouds
with promises of credulous thunder
to appease my angst
Let me ride jagged light across the sky

Then when all is finished by morn
offer a myriad of brilliant hues
that span the horizon with affirmations
and receive Nature's love messages
