As I burst the bubble of your illusion, don't blame me, blame the Cramp judge's prompt
Old Mother Hubbard
Went to her mailbox
To find that the mailbox was full.
This wasn't the mystery, the mystery was that
Instead of mail, it was full of wool.

She realised, "Oh, I'm in the wrong rhyme"
and moved over to baa baa black sheep in good time.

Mary Poppins paid tuppence a bag
But had an empty bird feeder
She soon solved this mystery -
a dog barked and this did lead her

To a mommy-poodle and her pups
Who were tucking into birdseed
Coz it's not just for the birds
It's what all animals need!

Hickory, Dickory Dimes
A mouse heard sound of wind chimes
They sounded jingly
The mouse felt tingly
Would they catch on to his crimes?

The mouse, upon a dare
Had jumped from table to chair
But he had blown his cover
the salt was tipped over
And now he had to take care

Coz Mom, with her artistry
Would soon solve the mystery
Then she'd set a trap
Or the mouse'd eat his cap!

Now Mother Goose
Wonders which rhyme I'm going to choose
She might smile or frown
As I turn it upside down
Letting my imagination loose!
