Epitaphs

She wrote epitaphs for everyone-
for those who died and who she knew,
Even those who were just plain scum.
A good woman, she was honest and true.

The man loved his wife and others' wives too.
Here lies Annie, a cat woman to the very end.
Jasper loved bowling and all he wore was blue.
Sadly, some people just didn't seem to blend.

Epitaphs. Gertrude wrote them and always prayed.
Here lies Homer. His best friend was his faithful horse.
Some were sinners and their death was how they were paid.
Gertrude tried to be nice. She went through a bad divorce.

Gertrude got paid for writing snappy, funny epitaphs.
She enjoyed doing this. She thought of it as a hobby.
Gertrude died. She will be missed, especially her laugh.
We loved you Gertrude. This woman was really a hottie!
