Reminiscing on how you've lost being a child with your dad
I see thin blades of grass fencing in the wind
I tell you I'm your son again
The wind goes through me
and my veins shake like strings but no music will begin
Me the old guitar with a hole in my chest
searching inside for bus fare
so I can get the piece I left in Pasadena
The blue school chair that has your warmth
Words that would teach me how to shave
Grandma's cupcakes we sent to the soldiers
I tell you I'm your son again
Sell me another dream
where we're standing on the beach
eating tuna sandwiches
I draw you a picture and you throw it on the sky
you point and tell others
you tell me I am wonderful
