Part 2

With a tentative plan in place, Nina and Charlie wasted no time getting to work. Their first priority was to identify which countries the hijacked cargo ship might be coming from.

Nina pulled up her encrypted laptop and began cross-referencing intelligence reports on nations known to harbor terrorist cells. She narrowed it down to half a dozen possibilities in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Northern Africa.

"We need to get eyes on all outgoing cargo from these places," Nina said, sliding the laptop toward Charlie. "See if you can get satellite coverage or maybe an agent on the ground."

Charlie nodded grimly. "On it. I'll start making calls."

As he began working his contacts, Nina turned her focus to the potential West Coast targets. She pulled up shipping data for the major ports in California, Oregon, and Washington, analyzing patterns and looking for vulnerabilities.

The magnitude of the threat gripped her. A successful attack could cause catastrophic damage - both in terms of casualties and economic disruption. They had to find that cargo ship before it was too late.

Just then, Charlie's encrypted phone buzzed. He checked the incoming message, his face turning grave.

"We've got a possible lead..." he began, but Nina had already moved to look over his shoulder at the screen.

Her eyes narrowed as she read the brief text. This was it - their best chance to stop the impending disaster. She looked up at Charlie, her jaw set with determination.

"Tell them we're on our way. It's time to end this."​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
