A mug of cocoa and way too much to think about . . .
Simple Me

I mix some cocoa in the cup that knows my name
Nothing else in my life has ever stayed the same
Why do I bother with this pointless masquerade?
This is the loneliest game I've ever played.

CHORUS:
Simple me in the kitchen
Trying to stare down the door
Answering every question
Wondering what life is for
Simple me in the kitchen
Puzzling out life's hidden pain
Turning my head inside out
Falling down with the rain

I watch the bubbles as they rise up to the top
Wonder if they knew how quickly life would stop
Nothing ever makes sense to me anymore
Here I go with another day, but what's it for?

This grey day cocoa seems to be my only friend
I think there must be something big I keep missin'
So what if everyone else wrestles with these things, too?
The answers differ depending on your point of view
I guess I'll figure it out one of these days
For now I'll sit here stirring my cocoa a thousand ways.

(REPEAT CHORUS)
