A poem depicting heroin addiction in grim and honest imagry.

Cameron, the doctor of reality,
ripped the silver spoon from
his mouth and set it ablaze,
wrapping himself in a fire blanket of euphoria;
like the Reaper seducing a speeding ticket.
The Technicolor mirage
embraced his soul,
its static melting his blood like plastic,
while he continued to play
connect the dots
with a rusty syringe.
