When time hurts too much & the walls bleed sometimes there's someone to make it okay
There is a vortex,
where my bedroom window used to be...
hanging like water on the wall
reflecting my room behind me...
As still as I remember it,
but I still feel like a misfit
trapped in leather skin too tight.

I found you-
my lips wet and cold, frozen in the rain...
the windburn of time passing me by.
You turned to me and thawed my hands,
numb with white like forgotten sands,
in the snow of the bus station where I lied.

Words like saffron exploded in my ears,
in colours and dream nature never intended.
We talked I cried and you held me
like a crippled child in your words mended...
The din of night grew cold, hollow, empty...
waiting for a purpose to be planted...
I wrapped you in the security blanket of my bed,
and that night's dying wish was granted.

The perfect love for a night and its children.
To leave behind the ashes of our youth,
and for once, in that brief moment
Bringing the delivery of truth...

And on my last night
to be made a whole
You were what led me back into my skin...
To ressurect my soul.
