Aema is living nowhere. How? Where is she? What is this place?
I couldn't believe it. I had created a new material! Or maybe it was meant to be there. Yes, that was more correct. But I was standing right there! In the middle of it! The texture was so strange! Everything was so new!
Emotions and excitement fluttered out of me like Angels out of nowhere. I looked down at the new material I was standing in. It was in a new trench in the ground. I had often dug trenches in the dust with my fingernails, but none this big. It must have been as wide as I am and as deep as my shins. And the ditch went on, ahead of me and behind me, forever and ever.
The material was strange. Extraordinary. My feet were actually inside of it. And I could move, too. It was gray, too, but musty and translucent instead of identifiable and opaque.
I knocked at it with my hand. Swirls of gray particles, which I suspected were dust from the ground, danced around each other. It was like air, but thicker... And cold! My feet had a strange, uncomfortable, tingling sensation that made me want to jump out. My legs started to shake in tiny ripples of movement. Slowly, I left the new material and walked onto the land.
Tiny grayish-clear droplets of the substance were stuck all over my feet. One by one, they fell to the ground and off of me. I was so excited by this new experience, I almost leaped into it again.
That was my first experience with water.
