A poem I wrote for my wife on Valentine's Day 2002
As we live the day-to-day,
rarely stopping on the way,
We pass each other without much to say.

We were like cars on the highway,
Going back and forth,
Never realizing what we are worth.

Our relationship is a precious thing,
Let us not forget,
The best of times is not here yet.

Bear with me, dear,
as I open my heart,
I know that it is your desired part.

We have been through much,
but there is still more to go,
the best of times are coming, you know.

So let us look to the future,
Live in the present,
and Forget the past.

Let us guard our relationship,
Treat it with respect,
Only this will make it last.

I pledge my heart to you now,
Treat it with care,
I know that you will,
Because you know how.
