This is a poem I did for a contest.
As I gracefully soar through out the day,
I watch people precede in life their own special way.
I wonder to myself if their lives mean a thing?
As they eagerly await for what daybreak shall bring.
I smell the sweet grass and look up at the sky,
While I sit and I find life slowly passes me by.
Why must we proceed to push and shove when we touch...
What are we rushing for? what possibly means that much?
Life is but a short journey...to the end of our time.
So what is the hurry to get to the last of the line?

We are all going to die someday I tell myself in disgust.
Soon we will all be nothing but a jar full of dust.
I think this way for a while...
Why lay on it all on the line?
Why bother to even give up our valuable time?

But then I look up from my daydreaming to see a tiny child.
Who seems to be playing with his friends, so fragile, so mild.

Staring at the child makes me realize this:
Life even when in dark times...can still be a bliss
It isn't just a path that we take to death.
Life wasn't put here as a waste of our breath.
It may be a short fragment of time i'll admit.
But we shouldn't treat it like we would a empty pit.

For life is but a web my friend.
Of things living in it right till the end.
Life is about laughter and love. Not pain nor sorrow.
Because in life you never can know, there just might not be a tomorrow.
So even though by daybreak you may just be dead.
Dont worry about it now... jump into my web.
