Escape from the pain...
It pulls me down,
all the worries and responsibilities,
all the sorrow and pain,
coalesced into one dark cloud.
I sink beneath the surface of the sea of despair,
forever leaving the light and joy of life.
The dank waters of hopelessness
enter my lungs
as the dark cloud fogs my mind,
and the last memories of the happiness
I once enjoyed in life
seem far away.
I swirl in torment,
unable to control
my mind,
always in pain
never-ending
until I reach
the last and only relief
from the living Hell -
Death.

It moves across my senses,
a soothing blackness
that leaves behind only a peaceful
oblivion.
All memories of pain and torment,
all memories of joy and happiness
forever leave my soul,
and I float free among the clouds and stars,
no restraints,
no responsibilities,
eternally in the peace
of Death.
