It's about forbidden love between a human and a dark elf.
She sat alone on her bed, hugging her knees to her chest. Tears rolled down her face. Occasionally, a sob escaped.
"Why am I crying?" she asked herself, her face scrunching up as a new wave of frustration enveloped her.
"I don't want to cry anymore. I just want to be happy," she said to herself as was normally her habit when she's sad, "I feel so alone...I don't even know if he loves me anymore."
She continued crying till she was exhausted and finally fell asleep.

Jarren finally took his eyes off the magickal pool, and walked wearily back to his throne room. His heart ached for Sabrina, and he directed his anger at that no-good boyfriend of hers who had no idea how to appreciate a treasure like her.
"What has he done now?" Jarren wondered wrathfully. He wish he could be there for Sabrina. He wish he could make that boyfriend of hers regret being born. He'd make her see that he would always treasure her and never make her cry. He would make her happy, if she'd only be his queen.
But it was impossible, Jarren knew. He could have anything he wanted, anything at all, except the love of a mortal.
All the faes and dark elves in the Nightlands desired to form alliances with him and his kingdom through marriage. Noblemen and rulers from other kingdoms frequently brought their beautifully decorated daughters to his court, hoping to attract his interest. Young widows created provocative situations with him, hoping to seduce him. He could have any woman he wanted in all of the Nightlands.
But he only wanted her. Sabrina. The girl he couldn't have.
Jarren sank down on to his throne.
          "I must find a way."
