that night, i lost you...
that night, i lost my sight...
i no longer see the trees, the flowers,
and lovers that sit on the grass..
hold hands together...
and utter their promises.

that night, i lost my hands...
now i can no longer feel your skin,
as soft as a peach
or your smooth hair as it touches my face
or your rough hands that tell me, everything will be okey

that night, i lost my senses
that i can no longer smell your gentle scent
that sticks on my bed...
or the faint perfume that makes me forget last night's dream.

that i can no longer hear your soothing voice
as it sings a lullaby
that calms my restless soul
that quiets the child in me..

that night...that night...
i died a painful death
worried sick.
troubled.
thinking how could i live with this lamentable state..

that night
was the night that i lost you...
