makes you think
Going through life with a long placid face
walking through time missing diamonds and lace.
Wearing the same pants she wore yesterday.
Needing some help, but not wanting to say.

Looking for a friend in whom to confine
listening to her heart hoping for a sign.
Hearing the silence that she has found.
Crying softly, wishing she was not around.

Watching her family come apart at the seams
breaking the foundation, cracking the beams.
Praying today won't be the day.
Tearing her apart, without her say.

Going to school is a constant heartache
walking through the halls trying not to shake.
Wearing a mask so noone will know.
Needing some help, but not wanting to show.

Looking back now everyone remembers
listening to the news that long December.
Hearing about that girl living without a sound.
Crying for that girl, whom nobody found.
