Real life Tom and Jerry
Beyond the green meadow
Lurked her figure in the darkness.
Shadows disrupted by moonlight.
Ready to pounce the unsuspecting.

Foolish fool walking by starlight.
Strolling a slow tedious walk.
He stops and the trees whisper.
He creeps closer; ever closer.

She smiles at the anticipation.
Can I catch him she wonders?
Of course I can, I have before.
I am quick; he is no match.

Raising his nose whiskers twitch.
The whiff of her scent fills him.
He darts but she is upon him.
Mother Nature provides again.
