Don't wait til it's too late to realize you've wasted your life
Death comes creeping on silent wings
Through the shadows moonlight brings
Ebon wings glide through the air
Causing pain, instilling fear

Crimson rose with hidden thorns
On gray slate tombstone it adorns
Musky scent of fresh dug earth
Raven laughs with morbid mirth

Tears of silver hid by rain
Your loss will be His gain
Saints and sinners, children small
Death’s not choosy; He takes them all

Drink quickly from your cup of fate
Life’s too short, you cannot wait
Carpe Diem, seize the day
Sometime Death will come your way

Shadows thicken, the light goes dim
The graves are silent, no life within
From the dark the thunder sings
As Death creeps by upon dark wings
