A vampire Novel. Have updated it take a look Chapter 1
Date: 8-23-2000

Dear Diary,

I am a creature of the darkness. I walk the earth while you sleep. I feed upon your blood. I am the queen of the night. I was once a mortal, but by ill fate I became the living dead, to always live without living, to hunger for blood. It has been a long time since I have seen the sun and have felt it's warmth on my skin. It has also been a long time since I have eaten and have felt full.

All of these years and I still have trouble believing I am a vampire. I have noticed over the years that mankind fears many things, but the two things that man fears the most are life and death.
Those that want death fear life, and those that want to live forever fear death and the unknown.

As for me, I fear neither, for I have experienced both. I wish I could choose one. If I could only choose, I know what I would choose, death. Why, do you ask? That is simple, for I have lived long enough. I do not call this living, for I cannot have children, or walk in the sun, or enjoy many of the things that mortals take forgranted. I have seen all my loved ones pass away and I have seen enough death and destruction to last till the end of time.

I would love to finally rest in peace and not be hungry all the time. This hunger is all consuming and it controls you. If only I knew then what I know now. I would have listened better.
Life is short, but if used wisely, it can be wonderful. I wasted my life and now I wish I could do it all over again. If I could, I would done a lot of things different.
Shenna

The cool night air blew across her skin. It was a normal wild night in downtown New Orleans. People drinking and being wild and crazy. It seemed that people came out of the woodwork, just to get a look at women taking off different items of clothes and trying every kind of alcoholic drink for sale in the many different bars and clubs. "There are so many to choose from and the smell of their flesh and the sound of excited heartbeats are enough to drive any vampire crazy with hunger lust." Thought Shenna as she looked out over the swarms of people around her.

"Many nights I have walked this street and still I have trouble holding the hunger at bay. I am just too picky, I guess I still have a heart. Sometimes I wish I did not give a damn for life, but then I think about what my family went through after my death. I just don't want that to happen to anyone else." Shenna thought to herself.

"Hey, good looking. Do you want to go back to my hotel room where we can get to know each other better? "A lot better." Said a tall, skinny man with dark brown hair that hung down to his shoulders in waves. His breath said he had been drinking for a few hours now and well on his way to being drunk. Shenna Looked him over very carefully noticing everything that there was about this man. From his dark drown eyes in a well-sculptured face with nice high cheekbones. A face that would make any woman sigh with desire.

But the look in his eyes was a look that Shenna knew all to well the look of a predator. The look was of hatred and anger. He flexed his arms, bringing her eyes to the well-muscled limbs, which were moving restlessly for some thing to do. Sheena determined that the man was in his mid to late thirties. Had probably been hurt one to many times by a woman. The smell that wafted her way told her he was ready for a night of pleasure, but the pleasure he liked was hard and mean and meant to kill. There was another smell, one that only a vampire, or a dog could smell...blood.
Shenna knew that she had found her first victim of the night.

"I don't know. What do you have in mind, good looking? I am not the kind of lady that likes to take things slowly; I like to get right down to the point. If you think we are just going back to your room to talk and then make love, you have the wrong girl, mister."

But she knew he was interested. He did not want to talk; he wanted to kill her. He was a different kind of predator, one out to kill only for fun. A Vampire did it for survival. Some vampires love the thrill of the hunt, but for Shenna the hunt was to fill the hunger inside of her. And to ride the world of these mortal monsters that fed their own sick hunger.

"I like you beautiful; you are strait forward and it sounds like me and you are going to have a lot of fun." He said as he reached up to touch Shenna's long mahogany hair and run it between his long fingers.

"Well then, let us go to your room and get started." The hunger in Shenna surged fast and furious through her veins to make her all the more aware that it was time to feed.

"I have a nice room at this little hotel off of the busy area of town. It will be nice and quit and we can be as loud as we want." The man licked his lips and his eyes glowed with hunger all their own.

"Really? It sounds like you know the area quite well and you do seam to know where you are going. Shenna rubed his arm and leand in closer to him her breath was close to his ear giving him the idea she was ready.

"Well, little lady, I have been here for a few months now and I had to have a place that was quiet because I like it that way, it gives me a chance to think and plan.

"Plan for what?" Asked Shenna

"The things I do best." Said the man with a wide grin that stretched his face and gave it a wicked look with the help of shadows from the dimly lit lights that hung off the buildings.

"And what are the things that you do best?" Shenna leaned even closer to him, giving him the impression she wanted him.

"Why? I will tell you when we get to where we are going I am going to make you squirm and beg for more, and maybe make you scream." He laughed.

"Really that sounds exciting. It makes my blood hot and heavy. I just can not wait how long will it take to get to your hotel room?" Shenna purred in a hot sexy voice.

"We will be there in a few minutes. You are a greedy woman, for sure." The man leard at her with gread in his evil eyes. His face was aglow with lust of a differant kind.

"You have no idea how greedy I can be, sir right now I want all of you, every last bit". Shenna said in a low voice near his ear. As close as she was she could see the pulse in his neck speed up and smell the sweetness of his sweat.

"This will be a night you will never forget my dear, and one I know I never will." His arm that was draped around her shoulders tenst and drew her even closer to him. His rough voice vibrated in his chest.

"Here it is. This little shack is where I have a room. No one lives here but me, and I know no one will hear a thing." said the man.

"It is perfect we definitely will not be disturbed." Said Shenna as her fangs started to grow and the hunger mounted to the point of overcoming her good sense.

"I am glad you like it; now lets go inside and get it on." He drew his arm from around her and gave her a strong push in her back as she was studding her surroundings.

She acted like his push made her stumble, but the puny little nudge was nothing compared to what she will do to him soon. A small secret smile came to her lips as she thought of his warm blood flowing over her lips and into her mouth.

"You don't have to get pushy with me I'm going, this is going to be a good night for me." Shenna mad her way slowly up the stairs one had on the old handrail. Her long heels clicking on the old wood sounded throgh the old motel.

"Really, I know it will be one of my best nights, too. It has been three whole months since my last woman, so you are special." He said. As he slowly reached in to his shirt. His face was drawn into a harsh smile.

Then Shenna heard the sound of smooth metal rubbing against cloth, but they were still too close to the front door for her to attack.

"Now move and fast! I don't have all night, I want to get to you, now." The knifepoint was nudged into her back forcing her to move on.

"Go up the stairs. That is where I'll have all my fun. Hurry, I am growing impatient and you don't want that, for then it will take longer for your pain." He through his head back and laughed a wicked blood cudaling laugh that would have made any ones blood run cold with dread.

"What are you going to do with me?" She asked in a voice that sounded like she was scared, but in truth she couldn't wait to sink her teeth into his neck.

"It was nice meeting you, sir, but I just cannot wait any longer either."

"What the in hell are you talking about?" His laughter died away, but no sooner then that question had left his thin lips, Shenna spun around on the landing at the top of the stairs. She grabbed him around his neck and broke it in one small-rotated motion of her hands. The knife fell from his hand and clattered down the stairs.

"This is what I was talking about." And Shenna sank her long pearly white fangs into his throat and drank deeply of his warm blood till the last drop.

"Yum! "You sure did taste good, but I have had better." Shenna chuckled.
"Now to get rid of your no good carcass. I have to rip your head off so you do not come back for an unwanted visit but do not worry you won't feel a thing." Shenna had to laugh at her own joke, but not for long, for it soon wore off, it was a side affect from the hunger and the thrill of the kill. With a quick jerk, the head of the man came off with little effort. "Now you can't come back to life."

She picked up the lifeless body and carried it up to the roof, and jumping from one rooftop to the other, till she was standing next to her car. She put the head and the body in the trunk and drove to the old family cript that was on her land. The old building with its cracked and chipping morter and stone was the best place to put her victumes for no one would ever find them here.
The grave yeard was filled with the family members lang since gone. Many of the headstones were now faceless and chipped. Some headstones were gone lost buy hurricans. Still many more were leaning at odd angels and so many lay next to the graves they so proudly stood over. The many old siepris trees gave an erry feel to the cript at night. She picked the oldest cript that was long since empty and stoad the body in there.
"Well time to go hunting again.”
Shenna looked out over the over growen cript well hiden by the tall trees and grass. She walked along the looking at the old stone graves in the small building thinking of the many victems that lay in them all. Then out in the grave yard it self where she layed a good hundred to rest when she first became the owner of the plantation way back in the eighteen hundreds. All those years ago. Shenna always loved to walk in the grave yard it gave her peace when nothing else could after she first moved here.
With long mesherd steps she headed back to her house to get her car and to head out to hunt once agian. Her hair sreamed be hind her like a banner. Her pale face was lifted to the dark blue black sky. Her eyes were closed her face so peaceful and serean.
