A poem for my daughter. She was so little when I was out to sea. Written 2/9/99
What is this tiny little thing?
A bug on the rug.
Reaching with arms so soft,
To give daddy a hug.
My little girls awaits
With eyes of blue.
Staring up so sadly,
What could any man do?
I must pick her up
And hold her tight.
Kiss her cheek
And wish her good night.
I lay her in bed,
Pull the covers up snug.
Before I can leave,
One more kiss and a hug.
