A closer look at guilt and betrayal.
LOST HOPE

Our hearts ache, growing black with deceit
Both have that dark interest, that forbidden yearning
At times, yes, I do, you do
I know you well, for I know myself
Tunnels of ebony fog, no light to lead the way
Clouds of darkness and despair
Loom menacingly, encroaching, slinking
The way into our souls
Veil of night, pitch black, without end
Refuses to loosen her vice-like grip
As we drown, in the depths of our emotions
