A short poem about what I call "a window day"
Summer Day

If it had have been a summer day
I could have watched the wheat stalks sway
The slight breeze-hot
The breath of God
I would have felt the warmth-
closing in on me
Alas, it was only winter, cold and lonely
To push me away, behind the blinds
The bitter wind not as kind
No leaves to dance, or wheat to sway
No dandelions to watch-in the air-play
A winter day, and me, all alone
The chill in the air, froze my heart, if I had known
I would have stayed in bed looking out the window
But the sun So bright, decieved me
How could I know?
That it was a cold sun-a lie
To make me go out and feel the beauty die.
