A visit to the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament brings unexpected stress!
IMPERFECT MATCH

“Centre Court at Wimbledon,
It’s like a dream come true.”
Daughter turns to mother,
“I think it’s great, don’t you?”

“Well, it’s not like I imagined
And it’s just too bloody hot.
I think I’ll have to go outside
And find a shady spot.”

“But we’ll miss the gorgeous Goran,
The best match of the day.”
“Can’t stand the man, “snaps mother.
“I’d prefer to watch Pete play.”

Outside they mingle with the crowds,
Soak in the atmosphere.
“It’s wonderful,” the daughter says
“To actually be here.”

“All these bloody people,
And I just can’t stand this heat.
The food smells ruddy awful,
What are we going to eat?”

“Well, you sit there and I will fetch
Some strawberries and cream.”
“No bloody chance,” barks mother.
“The price is quite obscene.”

“Oh well, “concludes the mother,
As they board the homeward train.
“It’s been an entertaining day,
I hope we’ll come again.”

“Oh yes,” smiles daughter sweetly.
But she leaves these words unsaid.
“Next year you’ll watch it on the box,
And I’ll bring my sis instead!”
