withheld thoughts about a mutual love
I read your eyes
The pain there breaking my broken heart
The grey so stormy now, not the
Blue grey skies I remember.....When there was some happiness shining there.
The spoken words were few
The meanings few yet many
As neither one of us would, or could,
Speak the truth.....it would'nt do
To be held accountable.
The semantics of it was taking away
All rational thought swaying my mind
To other times when I would have touched you
And in panic I smiled and spoke some trivial
Words but my soul reached for yours
And I looked into your eyes
I saw your pain, I read unspoken questions
And I dared not to reveal what I saw
For my love goes on therefore the longing
And the sadness of not touching you again.
So trivial comments over, we said so long, nice to See you........
Could you read my eyes?
And the moment became propitiatory
For I cannot remember the beginning
And my love will never end.
