A short poem about love and how it ends
A petal falls to the floor
Lands softly.
Echoes in my heart
Adding to the carpet of unrequited love.
Once perfect and whole
Opened to a magnificent climax.
Beauty not deterred by thorns
But as the rose will die
Love will wither.
As the petals drop
Our love falls apart.
