When your little sister has died, wouldn't have forever seemed a lie?
When Forever Fades

Watching the sun set;
bursting into flames,
then darkness turns
into eternity

Tears stream down my face
as I think of you
my little sister,
who lives so far away

Misery intertwines
with fierce nostalgia
I miss you dreadfully
I love you just too much

Why do you have to go, sis?
Please, don't leave me!
Are you crying? No... don't cry, sis
I love you...

At two, you are just too young,
to be stripped from us
Oh, sis! Don't you know that
I worry about you so much?

Don't be desolate, sis
Are you wailing for papa?
Are you grieving for mama?
Or, are you just so so forlorn...

DON'T! No... don't be sad!
Oh, sis! You don't deserve this!
WHY, sis? WHY?
Why does this have to happen?

My heart clenches
with anguish and torment
Why do thorns grow on roses?
Thorns are ugly and mar their beauty

I weep,
I want you back!
Then the heavens open,
and agonize with me

Time fades away -
endless rain stops
Through my tears,
the mist dissipates

I saw the sea sparkling;
I saw magnificence in life
Then, I saw a bright glow
the glory that clothes... you!

I dry my tears,
and understand,
It is not thorns that grow on roses,
but roses that grow on thorns

Warmth penetrates through the emptiness
and I remember the someone,
someone who is out there -
with you, my little baby sister

I look up and smile,
Jesus will be your friend,
He will love you ~
much more than we could

Heaven is too far away sister,
but you will always be in my heart
even when forever seems a lie,
even when forever fades away ~
