My reaction and feeling to the news of 9/11.
Early morning, sun still set,
Haven’t heard the news as yet.
Get up, begin my normal routine,
Not knowing things aren’t as they seem.
Dress real quick, grab a bite to eat,
Walk out the door to face the week.

Inside my truck the music plays,
Then suddenly stops as news takes its place.
Planes crash in New York, not one but two,
I start in shock as I hear the news.
The Pentagon too has taken a hit,
It is then I suspect, what is behind it.

An attack on the towers, and on the States,
By those whose hearts are filled with hate.
An attack on those with family and friends,
Whose lives today didn’t have to end.
An attack by cowards in the name of their faith,
Whose attempt at terror came to waste.

The United States will not be afraid,
It will fight back with righteous rage.
You can make us cry, and make us suffer,
For all those lost, friends, family, lovers.
You can bend our faith, and bend our pride,
But NEVER will you make us hide!

You are the cowards that hide in caves,
Many of which will become your graves.
You are the ones who are doomed by fate,
From the moment you set out upon this date.
You are the ones who will feel our wrath,
For the United States will kick your ass.
