Author's note: This song was written based upon a little book that a friend of mine wrote in grade school. She showed it to me when we were in high school and at that time, I thought it was the cutest thing I had ever seen! The book was written in childlike scrawls with stick figures and was called, "Jimmy Gets Hurt Bad!" Unlike the song, in her book, Jimmy gets a kiss on his skinned knee and a band-aid from his momma. This signifies the outlook that she and I had on life... until we figured out that not everybody was as lucky as we were. The song is for all the "Jimmy's" who weren't that fortunate. Lola
