Just for my love of poetry
I love you!
Everything about you brings me to my knees.
Your simple kisses on my hands show you respect me
You let me see you soft side, even after your anger overtakes you
Even after being slapped, you turn the other cheek
The distant light reflecting from your eyes reminds me of days gone by
Old memories resurface from the corners of my mind
Shadows of the past recindle dead flames anew
Taughting me with my own feelings
Hoping I never would be subjected to the torture of love's arms again
I welcomed death with open arms until I bumped into you
Now, thoughts of our times together reign over my dark memories
Nothing more than your love could break the binding chains of my past
Nothing, but you could ever find anything good in me
