Many times a promise can be broken even if it wasn't said
Murdered spirit, broken dreams
The face of promise isn't as it seems
Lost innocence, forgotten love
Promise of protection just didn't mean enough

Shattered heart, corrupted mind
To the promise of your word, that is my bind
Missing link, abandoned hope
All I have is the promise of you letting me cope

Hidden tears, muted screams
Broke your promise to stay away from my dreams
Masked pain, stolen comfort
Lost promises have left me inert
