One of my first poems, a tiny thought into which direction my soul is headed.
When brilliant light from sun stops shining,
and blackest night brings dark dismay.
Which voice for me will come a calling,
which place will take my soul away?

Either lavish light or burning fire,
the softest touch or harshest stare,
I dread to know which way I'm heading,
please God hear this liars prayer.

I know our days in flesh are few,
and our souls will last far more,
I tire of my time on earth,
and long for heavens peaceful score.

So Dear God I pray you'll listen,
please judge me with a patient hand,
and understand the wrongs I've done,
for after all I'm but a man.
