My best friend wrote this
There was love

A tiny glow in a darkened room.
a smile worn in a place of doom...
a shattered vase upon the ground,
a blooming rose without a sound,
and they cry...
a puppet on an endless string,
a child learns to dance and sing.
A sad goodbye, and pleading tears,
a battered woman loses fear.
and they cry...
they cry for those whove lost their way,
the ones who got too old to play.
the ones who are too big to cry,
the ones who never care to ask why.
they cry for the ones who fear to love,
the ones who close the sky above.
the ones who like labor, and not life.
the ones who never know the strife,
and they cry...

Fire burns and lights the face, that takes shelter in the tired place,
that walks before there was to walk,
that spoke before there was to talk,
chasing the sun, with the shot of the moon...
the stars dangle in the wind too soon...
forbidden fruits lay sinful in their own being,
where seeing isnt really seeing,
but eluding whats coming next.
the cure before the hex...
and there was love...
