When I think about it, all I really need is you.
If my life unravels at the seams,
If my home is turned to rubble,
If all that’s left to me is dreams
Between the flow of tears and trouble,

If my house goes up in smoke,
If all my castles crumble,
If I am found to be a joke
And all my pride must tumble,

If my boat is cast away,
If I lose my oars,
If I have no words to say,
Can I still be yours?

If I have to start anew
When everything is gone,
Can I start anew with you?
Will you be my dawn?

Will you help me through the night?
Will you be my dream?
Whatever’s wrong, will you make right?
Can we be a team?

I know you cannot promise,
Perhaps you cannot say,
But when everything has left me,
I hope that you will stay.
